Job Description

We are looking for an Administrative Associate and Event Coordinator to undertake a variety of administrative, event and program tasks. You will help in planning and organizing programs and activities as well as assist in the organization of events.

To be an excellent program and event coordinator, you must be organized and detail-oriented.   Communication skills and attention to detail will set you apart amongst other candidates.

The goal will be to assist the managers in facilitating the effective management of programs and events according to the association’s standards.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls
  • Support planning and coordination of programs and events, committee meetings, training programs, conferences and trade shows
  • Manage communications to our members
  • Schedule and organize meetings
  • Keep updated records and create reports or proposals
  • Understand requirements for each event
  • Provide support to management in the Planning of events with attention to detail
  • Research vendors and choose the best combination of quality and cost

Requirements

  • Proven experience as program and event coordinator or relevant position
  • Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and efficient
  • Post secondary education
  • Working in a not for Profit environment an asset
  • Well-organized with multi-tasking skills
  • Able to handle stress and remain calm
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Occasional travel to events, meetings and trade shows will be required (possibly outside the GTA)
