OBJECTIVE

The Coordinator, Digital Marketing supports and executes an expansive range of digital marketing activities aimed at both internal and external audiences. Utilizing email marketing, social media and web-based marketing, the successful candidate ensures consistency with Prostate Cancer Canada’s vision, brand and organizational strategies while exercising excellent project management, communication and exceptional computer literacy skills to ensure broad and relevant outreach.

This role will appeal to a collaborative, service-oriented and energetic individual interested in taking initiative, applying marketing “know-how” in order to innovate and develop copy into exceptional digital messaging.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Email Marketing

  • Execute email campaigns and targeted strategies based on PCC lists using MailChimp
    • Develop and execute email marketing including PCC’s monthly e-newsletters, dedicated email campaigns, and coordinating the sourcing of content and images with cross-functional teams
    • Schedule deployment for multiple programs across PCC
    • Maintain mailing lists for “unsubscribes”, “inactives” and generate email reports on request
    • Update template designs for new deployments
    • Assist with subscriber acquisition and email retention strategies

Social Media

  • Externally:
    • Implement content streams on social media platforms to generate brand/community engagement
    • Develop content calendars, curate content, aligning brand platforms, pillars and guidelines
    • Manage and monitor social networks and identify opportunities
    • Generate community dialogue; social moderation and escalation
  • Internally:
    • Plan and execute social media campaigns for increasing engagement and conversion, including earned and paid media in conjunction with Manager, Marketing
    • Manage stakeholders across various departments for content development and to ensure prompt responses to community discussions
    • Measure impact and effectiveness of social media campaigns through statistical analysis, insights and reporting across social channels

Website Management

  • Administer content according to scheduled or new campaigns or communications by supporting new web content development, coordinating with stakeholders for content development, testing, French translation and approvals
    • Assist, train and support internal stakeholders in creating and maintaining web content
    • Convert content from print to online format for placement on the website
    • Respond to web content enquires from stakeholders throughout the organization and website inquiries internally and externally
  • Support maintenance proactively identifying web content-related issues and provide post-launch support and maintenance, liaising with IT if required
    • Ensure quality of web content by testing links and keyword searches for web pages
    • Ensure that web content is accessible from a variety of different browsers and devices

Digital Project Management

  • Execute on campaign strategy developed by internal stakeholders such as Mission or Philanthropy teams or at direction of Manager, Marketing
  • Monitor campaigns beyond business hours to track issues or make corrections
  • Coordinate among several internal stakeholders to implement campaigns in all digital spaces, including web, social, email, SEM, SEO, paid display and mobile; this includes implementing project and calendar management best practices such as:
    • Work-back scheduling among cross-functional teams
    • Vendor relations, internal approvals and invoice administration
    • Translation of copy decks
    • Oversight of all working and final campaign files
    • Campaign wrap-up summaries and reports
  • Manage relationships with internal “clients” as key accounts with annual plans for projects and deliverables
    • Develop/share updated processes, timelines and minimum requirements for work requests
    • Manage external partners, client service agreements and commitments and outsourced work according to budget and deadlines

Graphics Development / Layout Support

  • Design and produce online marketing creative, including banner ads, buttons, email campaigns, and landing pages consistent with PCC brand standards and guidelines
  • Maintain brand consistency and standards in developing or translating offline to online creative
  • Optimize design and layout of web pages
  • Contribute to web design processes including page layout, navigational flow, wireframe development and style sheets
    Provide support for image sourcing and manage internal image galleries

DECISION MAKING

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary Education:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (such as marketing or digital)

Experience:
• 3+ years in similar role

Technology:
• Microsoft Suite
• Databases, HTML, CSS, FTP
• Website content management systems
• Basic knowledge of Adobe (Creative Suite, Professional)
• Email distribution systems (MailChimp)
• Social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram)
• Google Analytics and Adwords, Facebook Power Editor
• Working understanding of the Kentico CMS system would be an asset

Other:
• Off hours access and monitoring of media is a requirement of this role
• Fluency in French an asset
• Experience in a charity or not-for-profit environment an asset
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy
