Project 190339

The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is our country’s largest national health charity, with almost 1,000 employees and over 100,000 community volunteers operating in all provinces and territories. It funds life-saving research, advocates to government, champions cancer prevention, and delivers programs and services that support Canadians affected by cancer. CCS is a team of passionate individuals working towards a world where no one fears cancer.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be a key leader in helping shape the future of CCS. Over the past three years, CCS has changed governance, amalgamated with another large cancer charity, and restructured to achieve financial sustainability. CCS is strong and poised for new opportunities.

With experience leading large and complex national organizations, you are skilled at building relationships and communicating with many audiences – an engaged board, an efficient executive, dedicated staff and volunteers, scientists, healthcare professionals, governments, and donors. A visionary, inspiring, transformational leader, you are pragmatic, financially astute, and digitally literate. Through your professional or volunteer career, you have developed an understanding of the challenges and rewards of working in the not-for-profit sector.

Nearly half of all Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Where else could you make such a difference to the lives of millions?

The Canadian Cancer Society is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from all qualified candidates. CCS will make available reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities upon request. All responses to Caldwell Partners are confidential. Please indicate your interest in Project 190339 at
