Peel Children's Centre is looking for a highly skilled, experienced and enthusiastic Child Psychologist to provide psychological services to a range of clinical programs that serve children and youth between the ages of 0-18.
Peel Children's Centre is an accredited children’s mental health centre that provides a continuum of high quality mental health services for children, youth and their families who are experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioural challenges.
Annual salary range - $82,989 to $96,492 (5 step range)
This is a full time position with a generous total rewards package of 4 weeks’ vacation in the first year, personal leave, group life/LTD/health/dental benefits that are fully employer paid and a defined contribution pension plan.
As a children’s mental health centre, we offer our services within a multidisciplinary framework and the discipline of psychology plays a critical role. As part of a multidisciplinary team and reporting to a Clinical Manager, the successful candidate will provide psychological assessments and translate results into multidisciplinary treatment plans; provide case consultation to clinical teams and support the professional development of staff. Clinical services may be provided in office, home or community settings as required by client and program needs. Hours of work are flexible and are determined by client and program need.
In addition to providing a range of clinical services, the Psychologist will actively participate in the Centre’s program evaluation, knowledge dissemination and clinical training activities. The Psychologist may oversee the services provided by Psychological Associates/Psychometrists, assisting with hiring and performance evaluation as required, and coaches, mentors and trains psychology staff and other clinical staff as required. This position may also supervises psychology graduate students.
