Development Coordinator, Donor Relations

Working for UBC Faculty of Medicine means you will be part of a high performing, dynamic team of individuals who care deeply about health care and work collaboratively to achieve our collective goal of more than $70 million each year. As a key member of the Donor Relations team, the Development Coordinator, Donor Relations is responsible for coordinating and executing donor recognition, stewardship and cultivation events. You will also be responsible for implementing and coordinating donor engagement initiatives designed to facilitate a lifelong relationship with UBC donors, alumni and students.

Specific duties include:

  • Plans and executes logistics for donor meetings, tours and events, with guidance from the Development Officer, Donor Relations and the Development Manager, Donor Engagement
  • Designs and prepares event-related material including invitations, save-the-date correspondence, programs, promotional materials, and more (using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and other programs)
  • Prepares briefing materials for events and meetings
  • Prepares and distributes special donor communications where required (written acknowledgements, e-newsletters and stories, post-event surveys, mass emails, etc.)
  • On an as-needed basis, prepares reports and print materials as approved by the Manager, Proposals and Research (includes designing simple one-pagers, updating template reports, and arranging print/delivery)
  • Assists with leadership donor acknowledgements (thank you notes/phone calls)
  • Manages the annual holiday card review and distribution process for the Faculty of Medicine, Development Office
  • Reviews invitation lists for Central events/initiatives and facilitates input from Faculty of Medicine development team
  • Liaises with Central and manages customized messaging for welcome packages for donors joining recognition societies including Wesbrook, President’s and Chancellor’s Circles
  • Assists with donor recognition activities including donor list management, assisting with recognition gifts and commemorative pieces
  • Supports the annual endowment review process with direction from the Development Officer, Donor Engagement
  • Assists with website updates
