Key Assets "The Children's Services Provider" is a dynamic organization committed to developing a continuum of care for children and youth.  Spanning nine countries around the world, we are a collective of dedicated people working alongside and with partner agencies, families and communities.  In Ontario we provide high quality family placements for children with significant trauma histories and clinical or developmental diagnosis under the care of Children's Aid Societies. 

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual who is able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in all aspects of family placement and child and family work. As the Foster Care Manager you will be responsible for developing programs and services and be an integral part of the leadership team promoting a positive organizational culture and a demonstrated commitment to our Key Assets Purpose & Pledges. You will provide leadership to a Team of Social Workers and Child and Youth Workers in supporting and supervising carers and ensuring that children and youth are cared for in accordance to the Ministry of Children, Communities and Social  Services licensing standards and Key Assets Framework for Excellence.

The successful candidate will provide clinical supervision and the annual performance reviews for social work staff, develop and implement training, oversee our Serious Occurrence and Enhance Serious Occurrence reporting, liaise with customers and community partners, provide crisis management and back-up on-call support.

An ability to work in a fast paced environment with flexible work hours is an essential component of this position. 


  • BSW, MSW, with 2-5 years experience in the field of child welfare plus 2-5 years supervisory experience Or a CYW Diploma/Degree with 5- 7 years experience in child welfare, 3-5 years supervisory experience.  
  • Must be registered with the OCSWSSW or OACYC
  • 2-5 years supervisor experience with preference given to those that have worked in Foster Care, adoption and/or Child Welfare
  • Comprehensive understanding of the CYFSA and Foster Care licensing requirements
  • Ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and on-call
  • Demonstrated understanding of working in an anti-oppressive and anti-racist manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • A Valid Ontario "G" Driver’s License, daily access to a vehicle, insurance for business use
  • A second language is an asset
  • A clear and current "Vulnerable Sector Police Screening
