Cambridge Association of REALTORS® is seeking a Communications and Public Affairs Coordinator to manage all internal and external CAOR communications. The successful candidate will be able to navigate the dynamics of organized real estate, develop a communication and public affairs strategy, and produce materials for a variety of different audiences.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum post-secondary education / College Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in communications and public affairs, preferably in an association environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio that includes writing samples.
  • High degree of proficiency in all office software.
  • Proven ability to successfully meet competing deadlines, establish and then manage competing priorities and work as an integral member of a small staff team
  • Photography skills will be considered an asset.

Main Duties:

  • Able to create content that will engage a variety of audiences and stakeholders with various degrees of understanding of organized real estate.
  • Create all written content for internal and external corporate communication materials such as press releases, policy positions, and member communications.
  • Launch and manage CAOR’s social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube, by establishing content and themes and developing a posting schedule.
  • Actively search for and propose new public relations opportunities or initiatives.
  • Monitor political issues on the local, provincial, and national levels affecting the real estate industry, produce appropriate communications, such as media releases, policy positions, and written statements for members.
  • Develop and manage a list of key contacts and stakeholders throughout the Cambridge region, including elected officials, industry leaders, and potential partners.
