On behalf of our client, Delta Community Living Society (DCLS), we are searching for a Project Manager to join their team located in Delta, BC. DCLS embodies the mission, vision and core values in providing total quality support services and common practices for people with developmental disabilities and their network. The Project Manager will report to the Executive Director and hold responsibility of all aspects of the Youth Employment Project and lead the quality assurance and accreditation process across DCLS departments. Acting as an Information Hub, this role is vital to DCLS’s ongoing success, as this individual will be accountable to promote effective communication, lead policy development, safeguard quality and coordinate projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. The successful candidate will ensure the project is delivered on time, on budget and within scope.

 

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee the management of the Impact Project on behalf of DCLS and project partners
  • Project management includes communications, planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting, using a variety of tools
  • Responsible for coordination of meetings, reporting, and information amongst the researcher, project consultant, finance department, Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction representatives, and all partner representatives
  • Facilitate the project meeting and drive the collaboration of different stakeholders to ensure that deliverables are met and on track
  • Gather and relay information by reporting and updating the progress of the project regularly
  • Ensure DCLS complies with all governing, accreditation and industry standards
  • Oversee and manage the CARF accreditation process across DCLS function and deliver report on the Business Improvement Plan
  • Develop policies as needed and updates resources such as handbooks and guides, etc.
  • Implement strategies to achieve operational excellence throughout different departments in DCLS

 

Skills & Qualifications: ­

  • A bachelor’s degree in any related fields with at least 2-3 years of project management experience
  • Have a hands-on knowledge of budgeting, administration and reporting
  • Strong communication skills in both report-writing and verbal presentation
  • Strong project management & organization skills
  • Ability to develop working relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and apply information and make appropriate recommendations
  • Ability to multi-task several different projects simultaneously in a cost-effective and timely manner
  • Knowledge in Accreditation Standards is considered an asset but not necessary
  • Working knowledge of any project management tools are considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment and drives the collaboration of different representatives
  • Computer-literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
