Give Direct Response Inc. is a boutique fundraising agency. We work with social service nonprofits across Canada, like food banks, homeless shelters, and drop-ins. In order to continue providing excellent service and top results, we need a Fundraising Strategist. We hope that’s you!

Position Description

The Fundraising Strategist will be the lead service person for a select group of clients. The Fundraising Strategist will provide strategic direction to clients, continuously evolving already established Annual Fund programs and budgets.

Having an ‘eye for what’s next,’ the Fundraising Strategist is responsible for distilling campaign results into important lessons, devising test plans, and otherwise helping clients respond to unique, market-level opportunities.

The Fundraising Strategist will work closely with the agency’s Managing Director, Creative team, Operations Specialist, and various vendors to help clients evolve their marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies.

This position is a balance of delivering strategy, providing excellent service, and cultivating relationships.

Must Haves

  • 3 years of Annual Fund program experience. Must have a body of work and results to share, as well as, a willingness to learn more.
  • Solid, working knowledge of direct mail, digital marketing, and/or fundraising analytics.
  • Never-ending curiosity, especially related to persuasive marketing, data science, and/or behaviourial economics. Must be confident to prove your ideas.
  • Excited about the prospect of working for a small company and willing to invest—through hard work—to make Give the go-to agency for clients who want to raise a lot of money, retain more donors, and inspire greater levels of community support.
  • Because most Givers work remotely, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable with productivity tools like Trello, Slack, Google Docs/Sheets, etc.

This Position May Not Be For You If...

  • You don’t have a service orientation. Our clients (and the people they serve) are our focus. You must answer calls and return emails promptly. You’re thoughtful about your interactions with clients (regardless of their titles). And you know that sometimes great service means initiating difficult conversations.
  • You’ve never worked with remote teammates before. 80% of the Give team doesn’t come into our Mississauga, Ontario office.
