The Sections/Association Manager assists The Transplantation Society by providing organizational and administrative support to some of the TTS Sections. The Sections of TTS are smaller organ specific societies under the umbrella of the larger professional transplant society.


  • Plans and provides direction on policies, objectives and initiatives for Sections of TTS
  • Works with Council to ensure activities support the focus of the societies, including development, promotion and operations of each society
  • Develops a strategy for the Sections in collaboration with Councils and TTS Management team
  • Coordinates, participates and follows up on pending actions for all Council and Committee meetings of each Section
  • Develops and coordinates membership strategies with Membership Coordinator
  • Coordinates with Controller the distribution of Section financial reports and contributes to long-term financial planning for each Section
  • Develops and coordinates Sections’ awards, council nominations and elections
  • Maintains Section by-laws and coordinates the development and oversight of the Sections’ governance policies
  • Provides oversight and improvement of Section websites in collaboration with technology group
  • Performs data entry and other administrative tasks
  • Performs other duties as required


  • A College or undergraduate University degree in business administration, communications, or similar.
  • 3+ years of related professional experience.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work harmoniously within a team, and independently as needed.
  • Must possess a mastery of English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (ideally in a Mac environment); superior knowledge of Word, Excel and database interfaces.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with senior-level volunteers, such as Section Executives and Councillors in a medical setting
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
  • Sound business judgement.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and to work flexible hours if required (particularly during travel and as Congress dates approach).
