​Location / Lieu: Toronto, ON

Position / Poste:   Personal Care Attendant (Canada Summer Jobs) – 8 week contact – 35 hours per week
Duties / Fonctions:
  • Assist or provide attendant care such as toileting, feeding, and dressing
  • Assist with ambulation, positioning, and transferring 
  • Assist learners with assigned work in accordance with instructor’s directions
  • Administration tasks associated with planning activities, administering assessments, tracking progress as needed
  • Performing other tasks delegated 
Qualifications / Compétences requises:
  • As per the Canada Summer Jobs program requirements, you must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment, and be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
  • Experience providing personal attendant care to adults and youth with physical disabilities
  • Basic understanding and interest in adult education
  • Standard First Aid and CPR
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Interest in developing the abilities of youth and adults with physical disabilities 
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, and ability to comply with its requirements
Salary Range/Échelle des salaires:  $14.00/hr
