JOB SUMMARY:

The primary function of the Membership Marketing and Analytics Specialist is to provide digital and marketing expertise, including analysis and idea generation, to enhance retention and recruitment strategies under the direction of the Director, Membership & Services. This position will also provide analytics on campaign management and be “responsible for optimizing the journey” of members and non-members of the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario.

This role is under a Collective Agreement, at a Level 9, with a starting salary of $72,815 and at the 4th anniversary the salary will be $90,265.

RESPONSIBILITIES:      

  • Conceptualize, develop and assess digital and marketing campaigns to identify the best strategy to increase membership retention and recruitment (R&R).
  • Communicate idea generation within the association and occasionally with external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and project-manage the execution of multi-faceted marketing programs.
  • Responsible for planning and creation of social media marketing campaigns including all graphics, videos and content for all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
  • Capture data analytics, analyze and report on trends from campaigns to observe what best resonated with RNAO’s members and non-members.
  • Perform environments scans within nursing community, other associations and the non-for-profit sector to identify areas of opportunity, development and risk.
  • Responsible for information design, marketing communications development and implementation.
  • Develop plans to monitor progress of campaigns and adjust scope.
  • Provide training and/or guidance to department staff to help them achieve success in their assigned responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Membership & Services.

 KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL:

  • Masters degree in Marketing (MBA preferred) and more than five (5) year's related experience.
  • Expert knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing and expert use of social media.
  • Outstanding writing and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong problem solving skills with good judgment
  • Knowledge of and experience with analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, MYSQL, WORKBENCH, etc) to extract and analyze data into useful decision support information.
  • Personable, service-oriented, with good telephone manner.
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to engage with members, non-members and staff.
  • Dexterity required to operate a computer, telephone and other office equipment.

EFFORT:

  • Ability to work independently and within the team, meeting multiple deadlines with maximum accuracy and creativity.
  • Flexibility in hours of work and work assignments as required and ability to work overtime as assigned by the Director or Chief Executive Officer.
  • Attention to detail and ability to respond in a timely manner to member requests and solve problems with unusual situations brought to the attention of the Director or CEO.
  • Concentration is required for short or long periods of time to conduct phone calls, prepare email replies or process accounting information.
  • Sight, touch and hearing are used to read, proofread, write, and to answer enquiries.
  • Travel within Ontario may be required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Works in a climate-controlled office with some exposure to distractions, interruptions and stress from multiple demands.
  • Typical conditions are such that no risk or injury is present.
