Clinical Supervisor
Permanent 35 hours/week (Full-time)

Position Summary

CFSPD is currently seeking a Clinical Supervisor who will assist the Senior Manager in the development, implementation, and day-to-day operation of the program. The Clinical Supervisor will provide individual and group supervision to therapists and interns in relation to their clinical work with clients and their own development as clinicians.  The incumbent will also carry a small caseload of clients.

The candidate would have extensive experience providing individual, couple, family and group therapy on a wide range of clinical issues and a strong ability to meaningfully integrate therapeutic theory and practice. High competence in the use of single-session consultations and brief/solution oriented therapy is an asset.

The Clinical Supervisor reports to the Senior Manager. This position will be based in Mississauga, Ontario however some travel to other CFSPD offices/locations may be required

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision, consultation and training to staff, and interns.
  • Offer individual, couple, family and group counselling.
  • Maintain and strengthen collaborative relationships with community partners.
  • Work with complex trauma, mental health, crisis, and addiction cases.
  • Represent agency to further collaborate with community partners on various projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Develop and update program curriculum and tools for programs.
  • Group facilitation and development of co-facilitators.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in a related field and eligibility for registration in a professional college
  • Must meet CRPO criteria for providing supervision
  • Experienced clinical supervisor with five years or more of clinical experience
  • Thorough knowledge of trauma counselling skills and experience working with domestic violence and adult survivors of childhood abuse.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with concurrent disorders.
  • Ability to work cross culturally; second language an asset
  • Excellent clinical documentation and computer skills.
  • Commitment to a pro-feminist anti-oppression framework.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Willing to work within a Catholic values framework.
