PACE is recruiting for an Eighteen (18) Month Contract


for its Enhanced Programs (two locations)

PACE’s enhanced programs provide services that include life skills assistance as well as attendant services to adults with disabilities including individuals with an acquired brain injury (abi).


The Supervisor, in conjunction with the Program Manager, is responsible for:

  • Delivering high quality services in an efficient, cost-effective manner at the program in accordance with the clients’ service agreement.
  • Managing staff and client issues, as they occur; working with staff and clients towards an appropriate resolution, including resolving conflicts quickly and effectively.
  • Consistently demonstrating and promoting the philosophy of “Independent Living” and “Just Enough Support” in all aspects of their work.
  • Participating in the hiring and orientation of new staff, as well as ongoing performance monitoring and coaching of all program staff, in conjunction with Program Manager.
  • Interviewing and recommending new clients, managing new client orientation program.
  • Involvement in scheduling and payroll for the Program’s front-line staff, as required.
  • Participating in the Management On-Call Rotation for the “Enhanced Program” (approximately once every three weeks).
  • Work collaboratively to implement changes and goal settings as necessary e.g. Quality Improvement, Leading Practices.
  • Demonstrate skills in integrating knowledge of the effects of Brain Injury, inclusion and interdependence philosophies in the context of client driven services.
  • Backup/back fill Program Management for HD and ABI programs, as needed.

 Working Conditions

  • Primary hours of work are days, Monday – Friday, however, it may involve other non-standard hours, i.e. evenings, weekends, statutory holidays on an occasional basis.
  • Work onsite at two different locations (Edwards Manor and Bello Horizonte 1).
  • Ability to work in environments where there may be exposure to pets, cleaning solvents, scents, pests and other potential allergens.


  • Post-secondary degree/diploma.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the human services field.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Direct supervisory and management experience, preferably in a unionized environment is required.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities and augmented communication devices, mental health, addiction, behavioral and complex health issues.
  • Valid and current Police Reference Check (vulnerable persons).
