Position Overview: 

The Manager, Partnerships will be responsible for the partnerships portfolio and outreach strategies to advance CIJA’s strategic objectives and increase its profile in the Pacific Region. This position is responsible for maintaining and strengthening positive and productive relationships with a broad array of organizations and communities including ethno-cultural and First Nations organizations, faith leaders, LGBTQ allies, educators, human rights groups and unions. Working in collaboration with the Pacific Region CIJA colleagues, and as part of the national partnerships team, the selected candidate will actively engage with these organizations to identify and advance issues of common interest and concern. The Manager will initiate and coordinate an array of community engagement initiatives and represent CIJA on nongovernmental organizations in the region.

  • You enjoy relationship building, grassroots organizing, capacity building and managing multiple projects.
  • You have experience developing networks and community connections with a wide array of stakeholder groups.
  • You have a collaborative spirit and can work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • You were involved in the union movement, community building, or actively engaged with non-for-profits.
  • You are knowledgeable about the Canadian Jewish community including issues of culture, politics and traditions.
  • You have 2 or more years of community development, outreach experience and program delivery.
  • You have an undergraduate degree or higher.
  • You can work flexible hours that include travel, evenings and weekends as required.
  • You have excellent business writing and communications skills.
  • You are proficient in MS Office, and have the ability to effectively learn and use additional systems, including client database software and cloud-based applications.
