The Events Specialist at FSWC acts as a social convener for the organization and engages multiple responsibilities including scheduling and initiative programs and events of all sizes and scope. This could include organizing briefings, speaker events, fundraising events and our major gala. The events specialist engages donors and members of the organization and ensures strong attendance at these functions.
Cooperating with the organization’s leadership, brainstorming with staff, engaging with other team members – the Events Specialist executes critical programs that works to foster community engagement and donor cultivation and excitement about the mission and mandate of the organization.
Programs may include movie nights; speakers at donor homes (parlour meetings); travel events on one day programs for donors; receptions in house or externally; holiday celebrations and staff celebrations.
The Events Specialist must be outgoing, presentable, passionate about our work, diplomatic, organized, energetic and be willing to work beyond the 9-5 days (most events happen during the evenings). A strong understanding of Jewish community will be necessary in order to engage many of our members and donors.
Success will be measured by number of events, attendance levels and community engagement.
