If this is you, you’ll have a strong alignment with Tides Canada’s purpose: to enable community-led transformation for a healthy environment in ways that build economic prosperity and social equity for all Canadians.

Working with our Communications team, with a journalistic eye, and understanding of what is “news,” you will write strategically to target specific channels and audiences for distribution.

You will deliver written content for a wide range of communications channels including: impact stories, media releases, email campaigns, website, blogs, opinion editorials, speeches, brochures, cases for fundraising support.

You are able to understand what social, economic and environmental change looks like and write engaging stories about the work, partnerships and people of the Tides Canada community to demonstrate organizational impact.

In this role, you will bring the stories of impact and purpose from within a complex, distributed national networked organization to life and do so at an interesting moment in our journey, as we built out our brand and develop our new website.

You will help generate story ideas through participation in an organization-wide editorial board. You will follow-up on story leads, and opportunities for thought leadership, holding the pen on writing content with input from content experts.

You will also be a mentor with staff to prepare them for opportunities that may require speaking notes, key messages, writing and editing support.
