We are looking for a Raiser’s Edge Database Coordinator to help us maintain the integrity of the database and to create queries, exports, perform analysis and reporting. The Database Coordinator ensures adherence to donor privacy and data quality control policies and protocols, and can make recommendations for procedural and systems improvements, and provides support to other staff to ensure appropriate flow of information.

Responsibilities

Database operations

  • Create queries, dashboards and analytical reports in Raiser’s Edge to support all fundraising, marketing and donation processing objectives.
  • Coordinate and execute data imports and data extraction.
  • Update code tables and other system configuration.
  • Oversee the creation of system-generated forms, including but not limited to donation receipts, donation acknowledgement letters and online donation forms.
  • Provide analytical reports to reconcile data entry with financial (payment) information.
  • Create and schedule queries and reports to monitor data integrity and other audit information.
  • Administer access and security rights.
  • Coordinate system upgrades including global changes, periodic imports/exports, data cleaning and other global database functions.
  • Provide and/or coordinate staff training as required.
  • Liaise with IT support as required.
  • Maintain database-related documentation.
  • Other duties as needed.

Education/Experience (or equivalent)

  • Post-secondary education in relevant field or related experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working Raiser’s Edge beyond donation processing.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to coordinate and execute activities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid understanding of fundraising business needs.
  • Ability to organize and present data accurately and concisely, with rigorous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Working Conditions

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM. At peak times or for special events, the position may require working occasional evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
