Administrative Assistant (permanent full-time)
The Canadian Finance and Leasing Association (CFLA) is a non-profit corporation which represents over 250 firms active in the asset-based vehicle and equipment finance industry in Canada. This industry is the largest provider of debt financing in this country after the traditional lenders (banks and credit unions). CFLA’s key priorities are: industry advocacy; member information; professional training; and networking.
CFLA offers a work-life balance in a dynamic and enjoyable environment and is currently seeking a fun and talented administrative assistant to become part of the CFLA team.
Reporting to the Director, Events & Member Services, this position is to provide administrative support to the Association staff, Board and committees. As the ideal candidate you will be detail oriented, possess a positive work ethic and have strong interpersonal, problem solving, communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ideally you will have 2 to 3 years’ experience working with a trade or member-based association, though recent graduates will be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications is required and a working knowledge the iMIS and Informz applications is an asset. The applicant should have a post-secondary degree or diploma and experience in an association, legal or public policy environment is an asset.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, among other things, maintaining the membership database, creating customized distribution lists, as well as board, committee and event support.
