Touchstone Institute is currently seeking bilingual (French & English) Standardized Clients (SCs) to work high-stakes assessments on a casual basis.
What is a Standardized Client?
Standardized Clients (SCs) play a key role in Objective Structured Clinical Exams (OSCEs), a performance-based test that is an important component of many high-stakes assessments for health professionals. An SC is an individual who has been trained to portray, in a consistent, standardized manner, a patient in a medical situation. SCs recreate real-world situations by providing a medical history or simulating physical symptoms, allowing participants to practice their skills or show their expertise.
Qualifications: Applicants must be comfortable working and interacting in both French and English. No acting experience or medical knowledge is required. All age groups are welcome.
Dates/Timing: Exams occur throughout the year. SCs are employed on a casual basis and are required to attend two paid training sessions prior to the exam. Exam days typically run from 7am-6pm.
Location: Downtown Toronto, near University Avenue and Wellington Street West (St. Andrew’s subway station).
