This position plays a crucial role within the Fund Development department and will work closely with a team of fundraisers. We each work independently and are fully responsible for our own areas; however, we work collaboratively as a dynamic team to ensure the best quality for our donors and the women and children YWCA Metro Vancouver serves.

Status:          Regular Full-Time (35 hours/week)

Location:     YWCA Program Centre, 535 Hornby Street, Vancouver                      

 Responsibilities

  • Data entry into Raiser’s Edge ensuring accuracy and complete entry of info
  • Gift processing including preparing and mailing tax receipts and thank-you letters
  • Supporting a team of fundraisers with donor files, composing letters and assembling donor information packages
  • Sharing notifications of donations for thank-you calls and notes
  • Communicating with donors as appropriate to resolve issues and share info
  • Maintaining the integrity of the Raiser’s Edge database
  • Assisting with donor stewardship; preparing and mailing newsletters and birthday cards
  • Assisting with special events as needed

Required Skills

  • 2-3 years Raiser’s Edge or other CRM or database experience an asset
  • Strong data entry and administrative skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone manner
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Extremely accurate and detail oriented
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Proven donor relationship building skills with the ability to be tactful, diplomatic and manage confidential information
  • Strategic and proactive thinking in all aspects of work with the success of the Fund Development team as the foundation of all responsibilities
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Previous experience in a fund raising environment is preferred
