Project Consultant: Eastern Fraser Valley Pain Collaboration (EFVPC)

Part-time, 12-month contract position

About Us:

The Eastern Fraser Valley Pain Collaboration (EFVPC) is a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals whose mission is to create and develop an integrated system of care for those living with chronic pain. Our goal is for all Chronic Pain Practitioners in the Eastern Fraser Valley to participate in a united enterprise, striving for: excellence in patient care, effective inter-collegial communication and collaborative care amongst all interest groups and role-players in the healthcare and patient community.

The EFVPC is in need of a part-time project consultant to provide advice and process support for the project development, environmental analysis, communication strategy and operational systems for the EFVPC and Chronic Pain Services in the Eastern Fraser Valley. This will be a 12-month contract position, with potential to extend dependent on funding. The accepted candidate will need to have access to their own phone and laptop for this position.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate and knowledgeable about the Chronic Pain Management Industry.
  • Can define project parameters based on the needs of the EFVPC.
  • Creates specific project plans based on the principles of project management.
  • Independently conducts work on a flexible basis -this may include some evenings
  • Understands the Chronic Pain Services environment in British Columbia.
  • Will be able to explore potential external resources and converse with community partners to complement, fund and expand the EFVPC initiatives.
  • Will regularly attend the EFVPC committee meetings to provide advice and direction.
  • Will provide support for each of the EFVPC objective committees as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze case studies and develop projects that help solve difficult business issues.
  • Determine proper tools and techniques needed to successfully complete projects.
  • Implement a process-based approach to meeting the organizational goals.
  • Collect and document the progress and completion of support tasks according to the EFVPC directives.
  • Ensure project adheres to scope, schedule and budget.
  • Draft project reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing trends and other information.
  • Implement plans and analyze return on investment and/or cost-benefit ratios.
  • Understand consumer and market trends to assess future project needs.
  • Advise on technical and non-technical solutions proposed by the EFVPC.
  • Assist with and/or lead public process procedures, stakeholder interviews, and focus groups.
  • Conduct research related to best practices for management, planning, and administration for operations and communications for the EFVPC.
  • Track and submit hours worked on a monthly basis to the chair of the EFVPC.
