Call for Nomination of Board Members  
Service Coordination for People with Developmental Disabilities (SCS) is a non-profit provincially funded agency that helps individuals and families plan for and connect with community resources. We serve adults and children with a developmental disability and children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Services are provided in both official languages in Ottawa, counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Prescott Russell and Renfrew.  
The Board is responsible for providing oversight and accountability for:  
• The mission, vision and future direction of SCS;  
• Quality of services;  
• Management performance;  
• Financial stewardship; and  
• Communication with stakeholders.  
Board members must be prepared to make a meaningful commitment by attending 9 board meetings per year, two Board retreats and participating on at least one committee.  
We are seeking volunteers from within the Ottawa region and from the counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Prescott Russell and Renfrew to serve on the Board of Directors with their mandate starting in September 2019. The Board currently has a particular need for members whose first language is French. Ideal candidates are passionate about the welfare of children and adults with developmental disabilities. They have demonstrated experience with Board duties and governance issues as well as strong leadership and experience in such areas as:  
• Developmental Services;  
• Community Relations;  
• Human Resources and Legal;  
• Finance and Accounting 
• Information Technology.
