Job Description: Consultant - Project Manager and Research
The Canadian Skills Training and Employment Coalition (CSTEC) is looking for a Consultant to work under contract providing Project Management and Research services.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director and other Project Managers and Coordinators to achieve the objectives and deliverables of current projects, seek new project opportunities, and complete grant applications. Some travel will be involved.

Strong qualitative research skills are important, such as conducting literature reviews, environmental scans, interviews, focus groups and surveys. Candidates with practical experience completing grant applications and managing government funded projects, sensitivity to industrial relations issues, and preparing reports and communications materials will have an advantage. The ability to work effectively with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel is important. Applicants with strict attention to detail and excellent organization skills are preferred. The successful applicant will be creative, curious and mature. Preference will be given to candidates with bilingual ability in English and French.
Start Date: Immediately

Compensation: To be negotiated based on the experience of applicants and the terms of projects currently funded.
Employer: The Canadian Skills Training and Employment Coalition (CSTEC) is an enabler of innovative, multi-stakeholder solutions to training related challenges faced by employers and unions within the broader manufacturing sector. The organization focuses on a range of training and skills related issues including labour market analysis and information; apprenticeship and technical training; essential skills training, joint workplace training committees and career enhancement for young people and the unemployed.
