Runnymede United Church is a west Toronto neighbourhood church (Runnymede & Bloor) and a vibrant member of the wider community since our founding in 1925. We consider ourselves a ‘healthy’ church with a stable attendance and 150+ active members. Our members connect both inside and outside the church.  We are host to other faith groups, a daycare, a nursery school, a music school and many other community programmes.

We are currently seeking an Engagement and Growth Manager—someone of Christian faith and background who is outgoing, interested in people and able to connect with individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds. We have created this position to invest in greater engagement among members, to grow attendance and to make Runnymede a church home to many more individuals and families. This is a 3/4 time position (30 hours per week) with a salary range of $40,000 - $45,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications. This position is eligible for United Church of Canada benefits and pension plans.

If you are interested in this position, you will

  • have experience in a similar position with a previous faith community or in a related field—e.g., marketing or community engagement
  • have experience designing programmes encouraging community interaction
  • be adept at communicating via social media and have designed communications programmes
  • have good computer skills and excellent command of the English language
  • be willing to attend Sunday service and church events in order to engage with our members
  • have references that will attest to your ability to interact with people and interest them to participate in activities/events/programmes.

Please submit a cover letter illustrating the above, as well as your current CV by the closing date of midnight April 30, 2019. Only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
