Fund Development Coordinator

Are you ready to start your fundraising career and hit the ground running? We're seeking a part-time fund development coordinator for our small but busy national charity. You will have the opportunity to develop and hone your skills in fundraising through digital and direct mail campaigns, events and also start a legacy program from the ground up. 

We are seeking a creative thinker with excellent communication and organizational skills who can work independently while drawing inspiration from team members and the community to develop engaging giving campaigns and events. We are looking for a quick learner who has no problem hitting the ground and running. 

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the successful candidate will:

  • Develop and create annual campaigns which include direct mail and digital working in tandem with CCA's social media coordinator
  • Coordinate our annual participation in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge in Toronto which includes recruiting participants and volunteers and tracking donations
  • Take a lead role in coordinating fundraising events including managing volunteers, soliciting donations and registrations
  • Coordinate our monthly giving programs
  • Develop from the ground up a new legacy program and inspire fundraising for celiac diseease research
  • Identify members of the community to spotlight and develop donor journey stories
  • Work with the Executive Director to develop and manage corporate partnerships

Skills & Education

  • 1-2 years fundraising experience
  • University degree, college diploma and/or post-diploma in fundraising, marketing communications or event management or related program
  • CFRE designation an asset
  • Knowledge of celiac disease and gluten sensitivity an asset but not required
  • Strong written and verbal English required, French is a definite asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with graphic design an asset but not required

Some travel may be requried. Access to a car is a definite asset. Flexible hours and ability to work from home. 

Part time - 3 days per week. Rate: $19-21/hour 10, 10 month contract starting April 2019.
