The Position 

The Donations and Revenue Coordinator will ensure efficient revenue processing, tax receipting and exemplary data management and record keeping.   The chosen candidate will also demonstrate strong knowledge of CRA charitable regulations, ensuring that all revenue is received, administered, receipted and reported accurately and in a timely manner. This position works primarily with Tides Canada’s Salesforce CRM system and with the online donations tool Click and Pledge. 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurate, timely and consistent revenue and donations processing
  • Generate timely tax receipts and acknowledgement letters
  • Maintain confidentiality of all data in alignment with donor privacy preferences and Tides Canada policies
  • Ensure transactions are in compliance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) policies and guidelines and Tides Canada’s policies
  • Provide professional, flawless responses to phone and email queries relating to donations and other revenue
  • Create, maintain and update constituent information when processing transactions
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to evaluate and improve the processes for revenue processing, tax receipting, reporting and data management
  • Generate invoices for the organization and prepare cheques for deposit
  • Assist with implementation of internal audit processes to ensure accuracy of data and reporting
  • Assist the Development team with compilation of donor lists and prospect research as required

 

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in related discipline and/or equivalent work-related experience; Bachelor’s Preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience with a charitable organization, including experience with charitable donations processing and tax receipting
  • Strong knowledge of CRA guidelines relating to donation processing and charitable tax receipting
  • Solid experience in data entry and administration; familiarity with Salesforce or other similar CRM is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience providing professional communication to donors
  • Thrive in an extremely detail-oriented role that requires a high comfort level working with, and being accountable for, numbers and data
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and highly competent at managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively with a variety of internal teams and operating functions as well as donors and other external stakeholders
