What is Future Possibilities for Kids and Camp Contribution?

Future Possibilities for Kids (FPK) is a Canadian non-profit organization that provides programs to empower children between the ages of 9 - 12 from underserved communities in the GTA.  Camp Contribution is a fun-filled and safe program provided by FPK that is specially designed to help children increase their self-awareness, their confidence, and their ability to take action as leaders within their community and beyond.  

Job Description

Future Possibilities for Kids is seeking a Camp Administrator who has the ability to organize for and communicate information to staff and participants within the Camp Contribution Program. The Camp Administrator is responsible for maintaining current and accurate records of all program participants and communicating program updates to all stakeholders. The Camp Administrator Role offers the opportunity to assist with program maintenance and organization while also participating in the delivery of Camp Volunteer and Camp Leader Training. This role reports directly to the Program Coordinator and is a full time, contract position for 9 weeks.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Administrative tasks pertaining to Camp and/or other FPK programs include: data entry, management of applications and records, preparation and distribution of materials, ongoing communication with parents/guardians of children in Camp, assisting with Training and program preparation/organization, etc.
  • Connects regularly with the Program Coordinator to check-in regarding the following: tasks, camp staff communication and updates/progress, successes and challenges within the role, etc.
  • Will also be working closely with the Community Outreach Coordinator with the following: tasks, participant communication and updates/progress, etc.
  • Maintains positive and trusting relationships with all staff, volunteers, campers, parents, and community agencies
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information related to FPK at all times

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience and strong skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google Docs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Demonstrated experience of leadership skills
  • Understanding of child and youth programs and engagement techniques
  • Demonstrates knowledge/understanding of diversity
  • Creative, adaptable, coachable and able to generate enthusiasm in others

Requirements: (Once given the job offer, please have requirements prepared)

  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Cleared Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) report, current within 6 months as of the date of hire
