We are currently looking for a Knowledge Translation & Evaluation Assistant to join our Knowledge Translation and Evaluation Department on a temporary full time basis. (approximately 6 months with the possiblity of extension)

Position Summary:

This position reports to the Director of Knowledge Translation & Evaluation, and operates within an evaluation and knowledge translation & Evaluation (KTE) team. The KTE team engages in capacity building and knowledge exchange initiatives with national and international partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Knowledge Translation and Data Reporting Assistant is responsible for the following:

  • Coordinating, scheduling, and tracking of Dr. Peter Centre (DPC)-provided tours, webinars, teleconferences, and knowledge exchanges
  • Data entry and assisting with reports
  • Booking conferences and travel for DPC team members and project partners
  • Assisting with maintaining quarterly and annual counts of project-based deliverables
  • Assisting with consolidating and documenting qualitative and quantitative survey results
  • Assisting with Reviewing and editing documents (e.g., reports and training modules)
  • Assisting with coordinating timelines and requirements for grant submissions
  • Assisting with research and evaluation for grant submissions
  • Researching and assisting with the development of project evaluation frameworks
  • Scheduling of and taking minutes at meetings and events
  • Assisting with the drafting of letters of support, proposals, and other materials.

Required Competencies:

The Knowledge Translation and Data Reporting Assistant must possess the following competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience assisting with public health activities;
  • Demonstrated experience with data entry;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Ability to assess priorities with a high level of accuracy;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to review, synthesize information and produce quality work;
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

The preferred education, qualifications and experience of the Knowledge Translation Administration Assistant are:

  • Bachelors degree with 1 year experience in one of the following or related fields: social sciences, public health, public affairs, public administration, policy management, sociology, epidemiology or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

This position requires flexibility and the ability to prioritize workload, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where demands and deadlines may change with short notice. Multitasking and flexibility is a must in order to meet deadlines, and to support many activities that may occur concurrently or without notice. Evening and weekend work may be required.
