AutismBC is seeking a full time Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator to support re-branding, fund development and program success. Reporting to the Fundraising and Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator will be an integral part of our team and participate in programming, fundraising and digital activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Fundraising and Marketing Manager, develop annual marketing plans for key campaigns and programs to promote fundraising and generate funds.
  • Support the development of written and visual content for the organization with a specific focus on fundraising, programming and increasing digital engagement.
  • Develop fundraising and marketing materials/proposals to support grants, individual giving, corporate sponsorship asks, events and outreach programs, etc.
  • Act as a brand guardian for graphic standards and brand positioning by ensuring that the brand standards and tone are reflected in all materials.
  • Maintain multiple social media accounts and use analytics and research to drive the development of engaging graphics, videos, photos and written content.
  • Manage press and publicity by drafting and distributing press releases and communicating with stakeholders to source information/quotes and testimonials.
  • Assist with analyzing and evaluating marketing and fundraising campaigns to apply learning to future campaigns.
  • Provide support to community members leading autism awareness and third-party fundraising events.
  • Stay up to date on digital and traditional marketing trends to help identifying opportunities for AutismBC.
  • Provide administrative support to the organization.
  • Assist in other areas, as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of marketing, with experience development marketing and fundraising driven materials and content.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including creative writing.
  • Ability to translate your strong knowledge of social media trends into a creative and cohesive organizational approach to social media.
  • Fundraising experience, particularly fundraising communications.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and manage your time effectively.
  • Experience of managing multiple tasks to deadlines and prioritizing own workload.
  • Innovative, driven and solution focused.
  • Enthusiastic, team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience volunteering or working within the non-profit environment.
  • A proven ability in the use of a comprehensive range of IT software (including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) in the workplace.
  • Experience of Adobe packages including Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop desirable.
  • Familiar with Office 365, SharePoint and working with cloud-based systems.
  • Passionate about enhancing and improving the lives of those affected by autism in BC.
