St. Clement’s is currently looking for an Admissions Officer to join our School on a full-time basis commencing immediately or with the possibility of extending the start date to allow the incumbent to complete the year at their current school.

The position is responsible for attracting, engaging and supporting prospective students and their families throughout the St. Clement’s admissions process.  The Admissions Officer reports to the Director of Admissions, leads recruitment for the School and supports the selection and enrollment processes of prospective students.  The candidate must demonstrate interest and enthusiasm in working with young people. A positive, authentic and welcoming disposition is a must.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working alongside the members of the Admissions Department, plans and coordinates admissions events with a focus on recruitment.
  • Oversees school and community outreach and recruitment including:
    • maintaining current partnerships and fostering new ones,
    • attending school and community recruitment fairs and events,
    • creatively extending SCS’ prominence within target markets.
  • Advises prospective students and families on SCS admissions requirements and deadlines, supporting them through the application process and providing guidance regarding next steps.
  • Supports admissions-related projects and contributes to process and system improvements.
  • Initiate, maintain and apply demographic and data research on recruitment patterns and opportunities.
  • Is a member of the Admissions interview and assessment team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES OF OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Admissions/ enrollment management certification an asset.
  • Minimum of three years work experience in admissions and/or recruitment an asset.
  • Marketing and communications experience, preferably in an educational setting, an asset.
  • Demonstrates exceptional professionalism and outstanding communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to represent St. Clement’s School in a professional and positive manner to all constituents.
  • Ingenuity to bring new ideas and energy to Admissions recruiting.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and initiative.
  • Demonstrated commitment to girls’ education, and knowledge of girls’ development and educational needs.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario curriculum, Grades 1 to 12 an asset.
  • Experience with volunteer management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, approachable and collaborative working style.
  • Managing competing priorities and multiple tasks while maintaining a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Resourceful and flexible with strong organization, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Proactive approach to work and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Desire and aptitude to continuously learn and improve.
  • Work in a ever-changing, fast-paced environment as a supportive team player who is adaptable, able learn quickly and think on their feet.
  • Criminal record check is required as a condition of employment.
