A Sector Hub for PSHEA
Canada’s international development and humanitarian assistance sector has identified a need to enhance collaboration and coordination in preventing and addressing sexual misconduct – including sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, and sexual harassment – of beneficiaries, partners, staff and volunteers working globally and in Canada. CCIC is committed to improving the capacity of the Canadian international development sector to address and prevent all forms of sexual misconduct.
To this end, CCIC has committed to create a sector hub for expertise and support on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse (PSHEA) (referred to hereafter as the “Sector Hub”) to facilitate knowledge and information sharing, provide practical tools and trainings, connect Canadian civil society organizations (CSOs) to international efforts and learning opportunities, and disseminate minimum standards in a joint commitment to address and prevent sexual misconduct.
