Hours: Full time
Experience / Skills: Applicants should have a graduate degree in business, economics, industrial relations, political science or related fields, with some background in both project management and social science research. A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential; applicants will be asked to provide examples of written material. Strong qualitative research skills are important, such as conducting literature reviews, environmental scans, interviews, focus groups and surveys. Candidates with practical experience managing government funded projects, preparing reports and communications materials as well as working with statistics and survey analysis will have an advantage. Software skills including Word, Outlook, Power Point and advanced Excel skills are important. Applicants with strict attention to detail and excellent organization skills are preferred. Our clients are frequently labour-management groups and government; and some experience and sensitivity around industrial relations and political acuity are important. The successful applicant will be creative, curious and mature. Preference will be given to candidates with bilingual ability in English and French.
Job Description: The successful candidate will work closely with the Partners and Managing Consultants on a series of consulting assignments and business development initiatives including proposal and report writing. As well, this position will require the successful candidate to help manage and coordinate projects, write reports and communication pieces, conduct telephone interviews and run focus groups. Some travel will be involved. This is a permanent, full time position with the opportunity for advancement.
