MAKE SOME SERIOUS NOISE. FOR SICKKIDS.
Join SickKids Foundation as a volunteer at GetLoud
WHAT IS GETLOUD?
GetLoud is a march, capped by a festival-type celebration. It’s families, friends, supporters, and dogs, rallying for SickKids. We’re gathering a SickKids army, 3000+ people strong. To make some serious noise for SickKids. GetLoud, our brand new fundraising event, will be like nothing anyone has ever seen. Or heard.
WHAT WILL WE DO?
RALLY to a great cause: SickKids. $2.5 million is our fundraising goal at GetLoud. We’re building a new hospital, and we can’t do it without your help.
MARCH 5 km through the city as part of a SickKids army, 3000+ strong.
CELEBRATE at Fort York. Chart-topping artists, great food & beer, and activities for all ages cap the day.
GetLoud is back, and this year we want to get event louder. We need Volunteer Crew members leading up to the event and on event day to help us make some serious noise. Committed Volunteer Crew members are what will make this event happen. That’s why we need you.

DESCRIPTIONS OF OPPORTUNITIES:
Cheer Team - Cheer on our walkers as they take off for the day and celebrate the arrival of walkers and participants as they enter our festival celebration and cross the finish line. Hand out buttons and fun event “swag”, cheer on participants, and direct them to activities or start line as needed. Cheer Team members will start the morning cheering walkers at Coronation Park and will end the event cheering in walkers at the event finish location, Fort York!
Participant Check-In - Ensure guests are welcomed, checked-in and have their t-shirt. Duties include answering questions as necessary, distributing welcome packages, organizing t-shirts and assisting in packing up once registration has closed. / Check In & Welcome Guidance- Volunteers will be stationed at the start of the participant check in area. Volunteers will help to greet guests and manage the check in line. Check in volunteers will be responsible for directing guests to the correct check in line and verifying with guests their check in “needs” in order to direct them to the proper check in area.
Route Safety Team- With over 3000 participants taking place in GetLoud, the walk route can get quite narrow! Due to this, we need a saefty team positioned on strategic points throughout sections of the route to help "warn" the public that an event is coming through. The safety team will have safety signage, and safety vests to help identify them!
