The BC SPCA Humane Education Team is looking for volunteers to provide presentations in classrooms and to community groups across the Lower Mainland. We are looking to recruit and train classroom presenters for our presentations covering topics such as Dog Safety and Kindness & Compassion towards animals.

We currently have two available positions for volunteers to deliver presentations in the Lower Mainland. An animal is not a requirement for this position, however presenters can bring their own approved animals with them to present (please note that dogs are subject to assessment).


  • Ability to speak and deliver educational material to children aged 5-10
  • Passion and enthusiasm for engaging youth on animal welfare topics
  • Experience teaching and working with children is a plus
  • Ability to travel throughout the Lower Mainland is a plus

Time Commitment

  • Presentations occur mostly during school hours. At least 1 weekday morning or afternoon availability is required
  • Schedule is flexible, but a commitment for the entire school year is expected (now until June)
