Relay For Life Video Introduction

There is a wonderful opportunity to create a meaningful event in your community that celebrates those who have lived, are living, and moving past cancer. The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life event brings neighbors, friends, and community influencers together, united by the common goal of creating a world where no Canadian fears cancer. The experience of cheering on survivors, walking the track, and joining in a range of trackside activities at Relay For Life (RFL) creates an unforgettable evening!

Volunteer Lead

As the Volunteer Lead, you are organized, self-motivated, and have great interpersonal skills. You are well connected and enjoy helping others to positively impact the community. You will work alongside the Canadian Cancer Society staff to recruit new volunteers and to re-engage past volunteers for this event. You will connect with other committee leads to asess their volunteer needs and ensure that volunteers have an exceptional experience.

The committee will meet regularly over the course of the year, with increasing commitments as the event approaches. Each committee member will have their own portfolio but will share a passion for the mission: to provide the opportunity for those affected by cancer to come together and draw support while raising funds for critical, life-saving cancer research and programs.
