The role consists of supporting individuals aged 2-25 with ASD in participating in lessons and facilitated activities.  Alongside a social skills facilitator, volunteers may be asked to act as a behavioural coach in programs where they model the social skill being taught to the class.  In addition, volunteers may be asked to prep the classroom for daily lessons; this includes setting up a group game or prepping any lesson materials for the day. Topics of the lesson will depend on the curriculum of the social skills group but typically involve learning a skill that is relevant to making and keeping friends.  Volunteers will always be invited to participate in debrief sessions with staff team to review client goals and progress.  The program starts Saturday March 29 and runs until Sunday June 19, 2019.

Volunteers must be available for one weekly scheduled shift during the specified times:

Tuesday and Wednesday - 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm 

Thursday 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Saturday and Sunday 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
