It is common for older adults to feel isolated and lonely. We are looking for volunteers who will visit and chat with residents in the nursing home or isolated seniors living in the community to help provide companionship and social contact through weekly 1 to 2 hour visits.

Volunteers and clients are carefully matched by common interests and language/culture. The special relationship that can develop between a client and a volunteer enables the client to have greater social interaction to maintain healthy, independent living.

Flexible schedule: visits can be scheduled on weekdays or weekends, in the morning, afternoon or evening, 1-2 hours per week.

*Must be at least 16 years of age
*Police check required (completed before starting position)
