Duties

Depending on the day and location, volunteers may be asked to do some or all of the
following:
(Please note: all training is provided)

  • Receive donations & turn away unacceptable donations politely
  • Sort donated items
  • Participate in social media campaigns
  • Work in partnership with other youth to complete special projects
  • Prepare merchandise for sales floor
  • Restock and display merchandise
  • Tidy sales floor and change rooms
  • Assist with recycling & garbage disposal
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Provide customer service that meets our standards of excellence
  • Professional, casual attire and good personal grooming
  • Enjoy working with people
  • Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing
  • Safety apparel may be required for some tasks
  • Basic safety training is required
  • Willingness to work with people of various abilities

Time Commitment

  • Must commit to scheduled shifts ( min 2 hr. up to 7.5 hr. / day)
  • Shifts available on Tuesdays and Saturdays (based on availability)
  • Must call Supervisor when unable to make a scheduled shift
