|Description & Details|
Do you love being outdoors?
Do you want to learn about local food?
Want to meet a great bunch of people and be part of a wonderful community initiative?
Then the Withrow Park Farmers' Market is the place for you!
Who we are:
The Withrow Park Farmers' Market has been a SATURDAY morning outdoor community hub for 13 summers! It is a place where Ontario farmers and local entrepreneurs share sustainable food with Toronto's eaters. To learn more visit us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
The Withrow Park Farmers’ Market is a family friendly space and we have many parents and young children coming to visit us. Each Saturday we plan new and engaging arts & crafts and we’re looking for some energetic and friendly volunteers to help facilitate the activities and supervise the craft area.
The market runs every Saturday until October 12, 2019.
Volunteer shifts are from 8:30am to 11:30am and 11:15am to 1:30pm.
Ideally we are looking for volunteers who can commit to 3 markets or more over the season!
We think this would be a great role for youth looking to complete their volunteer hours and an opportunity to gain experience working with young children and their caregivers. Volunteers 13 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.
The Withrow Park Farmers' Market is located on the North/East corner of Withrow Park (next to the playground).
