Kidney Walk Special Event Volunteer - Brampton
Date: Sunday, September 22, 2019
Walk Location: Chinguacousy Park, 9050 Bramalea Road, Brampton, L6S 6G7
Time Details: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Description: The Kidney Foundation of Canada requires event day volunteers to support the Brampton Kidney Walk in the following areas:
Groups Served: Kidney Patients, their families, renal practitioners and doctors.
Training: Information packages will be distributed to all volunteers in advance of event day. Additional orientation and training will be provided by the volunteer lead for your area of responsibility on-site on event day.
Skills required: Friendly, enthusiastic, and enjoys working with others. Must be able to work as part of a team. Must be able towork with minimal supervision. Previous volunteer experience at a special event is an asset.
Task Requirements: Carrying and lifting; Dexterity and agility; Walking and standing; Communication; Visual; Reading and Writing.
Minimum Age: 13 years of age
Number of Volunteers Required: 20
Required Languages: English
Suitable for: Groups of Volunteers, Families, Classes, Newcomers, Seniors
Accessibility: Has accessible parking, Has accessible washroom
Benefits: 40 hours Community Involvement; recognition letters of service provided; free parking and light refreshments provided to event day volunteers.
