Anduhyaun exists to support Indigenous women and their children in their efforts to
maintain cultural identity, self-esteem, economic, physical and spiritual well-being. In
1973, Anduhyaun was established as Canada's first Aboriginal women's emergency shelter
and in 1995 Anduhyaun added a supportive housing facility, Nekenaan Second Stage
Housing, to its services.

Anduhyaun is seeking to add multiple volunteer Directors as Members of the Board. If
you have Board experience, or wish to gain Board experience, and the desire to serve the
community, Anduhyaun is now inviting expressions of interest from individuals across
the GTA.

In addition to sound governance and strategic vision, the Directors of Anduhyaun bring a
comprehensive spectrum of skills, experience and thought leadership to the table. The
Agency is currently in need of Board members whose professional background encompass
financial management; fundraising; public relations/communication; social service;
human resource; and legal expertise.

Please submit your resume, in confidence, to director@anduhyaun.org

Due to the nature of the organization’s culturally based social services, Anduhyaun Inc. encourages
applications from Indigenous individuals (Section 24 (1) (a), Special Employment, Ontario Human
Rights Code).
