Event: The St Joe’s Fall Classic Golf

Date of Event: Monday, September 9, 2019

Job Summary: Serve as the Silent Auction Manager (Volunteer role) for the St Joe’s Fall Classic Golf Tournament’s 2019 Auction, to enhance the event by increasing auction revenue.

Auction Committee Goal: To raise $30,000 through the live, silent auction and raffle.

Length of Commitment: May through September 9, 2019.


  • Work with the St, Joe’s Event Manager to develop a solicitation action plan, which includes a wish list and potential sources of donations. oversee and facilitate business donation requests and receipts
  • Using personal and business contacts, personally solicit auction items.
  • Secure 8-10 high value live and silent auction items.
  • Track all items (logging donors, donations and descriptions, contacts, info etc) and ensure all proper back-up is received.
  • Attend Auction Committee meetings and calls as scheduled. (1 per month).
  • Be accessible to email brief updates to the Event Manager detailing progress on targeted items.
  • Enlist additional volunteers if and where needed with the approval of Event Manager.
  • Pick up/arrange delivery of items and have all items to the St. Joe’s Foundation office by September 6, 2019.
  • Attend the Event in September and assist with set-up of auction items, bid sheets etc.
  • Participate in a post event evaluation meeting to enhance the 2020 auction.
