Kidney Walk Special Event Volunteer - Toronto West
Date: Saturday, September 21, 2019 (one-day event)
Walk Location: Toronto's High Park, 1873 Bloor St. W., Picnic Areas 1,2,3 (Bloor Street Entrance)
Time Details: 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Description: The Kidney Foundation of Canada requires event day volunteers to support the Toronto West Kidney Walk in the following areas:
Groups Served: Kidney Patients, their families, renal practitioners and doctors
Training: Information packages will be distributed to all volunteers in advance of event day. Additional orientation and training will be provided by the volunteer lead for your area of responsibility on-site on event day.
Skills Required: Friendly, enthusiastic and enjoys working with others. Must be able to work as part of a team. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Previous volunteer experience at a special event is an asset.
Task Requirements: Carry and lifting;Dexterity and agility; Walking and standing; Communication; Visual; Reading and Writing
Minimum Age: 13 years old
Number of Volunteers Required: 40
Required Languages: English
Suitable for: Groups of volunteers, Families, Classes, Newcomers, Seniors
