Founded in 2014, Drizzle Environmental Society is a volunteer-run non-profit organization with a mission to create an active, informed global community of youth committed to a greener future.

 

We provide programs and initiatives in schools, in our communities and online that:

 

  • Engage youth and inspire them to take positive action in their communities; 
  • Increase knowledge of environmental issues that affect our planet and humanity's future; and 
  • Provide opportunities for youth to connect with nature

 

Role Description

 

The Fundraising Coordinator will play a key role in fundraising and development for Drizzle Environmental Society over the coming year. They will be responsible for developing and executing the organization’s fundraising strategy to meet the organization’s short and long-term needs.

 

Duties & Responsibilities 

 

The Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for:

 

  • Coordinating fundraising strategies and is responsible for most aspects of fundraising programs
  • Assisting in the development of fundraising goals and solicits funds to meet these goals
  • Assisting in developing major gift opportunities, writing grant proposals, and fundraising campaigns
  • Leading the planning and management of fundraising events

 

Qualifications

 

  • Fundraising and/or event planning experience for a non-profit organization or community group
  • Ability to build strong relationships with new people and organizations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

 

Commitment & Benefits:

 

Volunteers are expected to commit to approximately 8-12 hours per week on an ongoing basis. As Drizzle is a volunteer-run organization, all new volunteers are treated as valuable members of the Drizzle team and will gain valuable experience working with a small, hands-on team.
