Join our experienced, dedicated, and well-organized team of volunteer leaders to help plan and coordinate the 2020 Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer's in Whistler.

 

Leadership Opportunities 

Committees divide up the work of putting together an amazing Walk, and we are looking for people to take on some of the following roles:

  • Promotion and publicity coordinator
  • Participant and team recruitment coordinator
  • Sponsorship, prize and refreshment coordinator
  • Volunteer manager
  • Accounting coordinator
  • Registration coordinator
  • Route marshal
  • Site coordinator

 

Time Commitment

  • Event day is Sunday, May 03, 2020
  • Committees meet monthly from November - May
  • In November through to March coordinators invest about 4 – 6 hours a month outside meetings, 10 – 16 hours a month in April/May

Qualifications

  • experience in event and/or volunteer management
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • organized and able to meet deadlines

The Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer's is a great way to support families in your community who are impacted by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias and to support research to find a cure.
