Would you like to see a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live?  Help Habitat for Humanity GTA by volunteering at our second annual Bottle Drive in partnership with the Beer Store.  In 2018 we raised over $20,000 through this fundraiser and hope that with your support we can raise even more in 2019!  Beer Stores across the GTA will be running bottle drives with proceeds supporting Habitat for Humanity Canada and its affiliates.  We need stellar volunteers to assist the Beer Store staff with help running the drive. 

 Duties & Responsibilities

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting customers/donors with unloading their empty donations
  • Encourage patrons to donate their empties to Habitat for Humanity GTA
  • Speed up the return process by sorting empties into ‘like’ groups
    • Beer bottles by colour
    • Wine and spirits by clear and coloured glass
    • Separate tetra, plastic and other containers
    • Cans
  • Help keep track of donations (if necessary)

Qualifications/Physical Requirements :

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Customer service oriented (retail experience is an asset)
  • Knowledge of Habitat for Humanity and our work in the GTA

  • Please wear a blue shirt (if you own one)
  • Please bring water and snacks
  • Please bring a lawn chair (some locations may provide table and chairs and some may not)
