Want to change the world?

Want to meet other interesting people? If you answered yes, then we’re interested in you! African Canadian Continuing Education Society (ACCES) is seeking people for its Board of Directors.

About ACCES

  • A registered charity (#13983 1770 RR0001) founded in 1993, based in Surrey, B.C.
  • Mission statement: “Alleviating poverty through education.”
  • ACCES awards post-secondary scholarships to Kenyan youth.
  • ACCES operates with the following values:
    • ACCES will not seek to impose Canadian cultural values.
    • ACCES strives to help other people to help themselves.
    • ACCES programs provide equal opportunity to female and male persons.
  • ACCES raises money primarily from individual Canadian donors. We engage in partnerships with Canadian, Kenyan and international organizations

Since 1993 ACCES has provided more than 3,300 Kenyans with post-secondary scholarships. Many of them are now at the top of their professions, and as an alumnus, have formed a registered Kenyan Foundation to further support the work of ACCES. On average, each graduate helps seven others to obtain an education.

Note: For more information about ACCES, go to www.acceskenya.org, or contact the Executive Director at dale@acceskenya.org.
