Minimum 8 hours per week (1/2 or full days)

Weekdays between 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto mobilizes volunteers and communities to help working, lower-income families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.  In support of our homebuilding activity, we operate retail home improvement stores called ReStores.  Our 11 locations across the GTA collect and sell new and used donated home furnishings and renovation materials to the public at a fraction of the original price.  Revenue generated through ReStore sales help cover the cost to build homes for future Habitat homeowners.

Position Overview

Do you like to organize?  Do you love moving boxes and loading trucks?  Yes? Then our ReStore Warehouse Volunteer Role may be for you.  Habitat for Humanity GTA is currently recruiting volunteers for our ReStore warehouse. Our warehouse is responsible for accepting delivery and organizing and shipping the donations across the GTA to our 11 ReStores.


  • Assist the warehouse coordinator unloading, sorting and loading shipments
  • Keep the warehouse organized
  • Use pump truck and dollies to move materials
  • Follow all Habitat GTA health and safety policies

 What you bring:

  • Good command of English language with a positive attitude
  • Ability to lift 40 to 50 lbs
  • Steel toe boots are mandatory. (We may be able to loan you a pair if you don’t have your own)   All other safety equipment and tools provided.
