Our purpose is to encourage, support and service the approximately 95,000 Canadian charities, the nation's 70,000 other nonprofit organizations, and the millions of professionals, staffers, volunteers, donors and supporters who make this sector such an important and vibrant part of our national fabric.


CharityVillage officially launched on July 13, 1995 and is one of the largest and most popular websites in the world devoted exclusively to nonprofit issues. Visitors come from 53 countries around the world. Most, of course, are Canadian, followed by those from the United States and the United Kingdom.


The core audience who visits CharityVillage regularly now exceeds 400,000 unique visitors monthly.


In the Directories section, you can find links to more than 2,500 Canadian nonprofit organizations' websites.


On any given day, you'll find between 700 and 800 active volunteer listings in cities across the country in our popular Volunteer section
